Home Again!

Hi everyone.

Just posting this to say I am home in Wales safe and sound.  I arrived back home at 1:15a.m this morning.  I had a fantastic time, it was an amazing week.  I have been feeling tired all day, so I’m gonna go to bed now.  I will update you about the holiday in a later post.

A reminder to British readers: don’t forget to set your clocks back an hour tonight.  Woo hoo, we get an extra hour’s sleep in bed.

Au Revoir!

Bonjour!

This will be my last entry for a week, as I am off on a school trip to Normandy tomorrow.  I am looking forward to the holiday and the challenges ahead, particularly the sporting activities.  I will have a go at anything, but if I can’t do anything, I will take part in something else.

One day, a group of us shall be going to a French market and we will have to buy some food in French.  I am also looking forward to a trip to the Normandy Beaches.

I used to be taught French in school, but I dropped the subject for GCSE.  I have downloaded some podcasts from the Internet to reacquaint myself with the language.  It is said that once I start learning it again, it shall be easier to pick up.

I shall turn off my Alerts now. If I don’t, my inbox shall be full when I return.  Have a good week readers, and I shall post when I return… au revoir!

A Great Night!

Thank you to Sugar for the above graphic.

I just spent forty-five minutes typing the entry below.  Then as I was about to click “Save” to post this entry, I lost my internet connection.  GRR, AOL can be so frustrating at times!  Oh well, here we go again, but it’ll be a shorter version, LOL!

I had a great time last night at the RCT Youth Council DVD Launch.  I was a little nervous before the presentation.  But a little nervous is always good as it gives you confidence.  I have been told that if you imagine the audience are sitting in their underwear, the nerves will vanish – and it works!

I’ve included some photos for the night.  Hope you like them.

I shall leave you now with a video.  The song was included in our PowerPoint presentation.  I think it is an inspiring song, and each time I listen to it, it makes me feel cheerful and motivated to complete tasks.

Monday, Monday!

On Thursday evening, the Youth Council I belong to is to have a DVD released.  As it is Youth Democracy Week, it seemed the perfect time to release it.  It's taken 5 years to make, so it will be nice to see.

I am excited because as Joint Chairman of the Rhondda sector  I have to give a presentation about the Forum’s achievements over the last year, and about last year’s trip to Brussels.

Lots of newspaper reporters will be there, along with some AM’s, MP’s, E.M.P’s… all Very Important People!!

There’s going to be a buffet and also a live band is romoured to be performing.  It should be a fun night.  Don’t worry guys; I shall be armed with my camera and autograph book… NOBODY’S SAFE, LOL!!

Hope you’ve had a good Monday!

An Update

Thanks to Missie for the above graphic.  I do love to have a cup of coffee first thing in the morning!  Pour yourself one now then sit back and relax, as I have a feeling this could be a long entry.

Where to begin?  I’ve had to swap my flat screen PC monitor for my old, chunky one because it was taking a while to come on.  It’s been like it for a few months now.  Some days it would take fifteen minutes, some forty-five… last week it wouldn’t come on at all!

I don’t like this monitor at all!  It’s big and chunky, and it takes up nearly all the space on my computer desk.  I don’t know how I coped before the flat screen.  It may be big and chunky, but on the plus side it doesn’t take a while to come on.  Maybe if I’m good, Santa Claus will bring me a new flat screen.

Remember a few months ago, I went to see a dermatologist about a mole on my back?  Last week I received a letter from the local hospital about surgery to remove it.  The surgery is due to take place on the 25th October, but I have had to cancel because I’m travelling home from France that day.

I feel a bit miffed about cancelling because I’ve waited five months for this operation.  I have been told the mole is not any danger to me, so I think I can wait a few more weeks.  I don’t want to pull out of the school trip because I’ve been fighting to go on it.  Plus the £45 deposit is non-refundable, so I have to go.  I’m really looking forward to it!

That’s all my news for now.

Have a good weekend!

Crazy Cats!

I couldn’t resist taking the above photographs the other night when I went down to the kitchen for a bottle of water.  I opened the door, and noticed that Chewie was not asleep in her usual place.  Instead she was fast asleep in… a highchair, LMAO!

It took me a while to get some ‘nice’ shots.  Every time I pressed the shutter to take one, she would move her head to the side.  It was very frustrating!

Hope you all are having a good week in J-Land.

Bye for now!
