Anniversary Wishes

Congratulations to NEIL & LISA who celebrate one year of marraige today.  Many happy returns to you both and may you share many more wonderful years together with their sons Corey and Tai.

UNTIL WE MET I DIDN'T KNOW

Until we met I didn't know
How light a heart could be;
How, chained to one by bonds of love,
I still could feel so free.

I didn't realize that my dreams
Could ever be so real;
Or when I had all I could want,
Exactly how I'd feel.

This year of love has brought me through
A long-awaited door:
Were angels parked along our skies,
I could not love you more.

Bye For Now!

This will be my last entry for five days.  Tomorrow I am off on a caravan holiday down to Porthcawl with my Nan.  I hope we will see some sunshine because the weather in Wales has been pretty miserable this weekend.  I am all packed and ready to go now and really excited!  I will turn off my Alerts and will catch up with your journals when I get back on Friday.  If you like, you could e-mail me at any time and now that my camera is working I promise to take lots of photos!

Have a great week everyone!

My New Bus Pass

My bus pass came through the post this morning.  I was not impressed when I saw the photo.  It’s like a passport photo, they always come out terrible.  I’m so pleased now because this pass enables me to travel anywhere in Wales with a companion for free.  Dad is excited because he won’t have to pay to take me to see his mum, who I don’t see often.

I haven’t been up to much since I last wrote to you.  Today my neighbour (the one with the football fanatic) asked me to go in to find out what was wrong with her DVD Player.  I inserted a disc, “Loading” came up on the screen as usual but the machine wouldn’t play DVD’s.  Luckily Mrs. H had just bought one for £20 so that was installed ready to use.

It’s the long-awaited finale of the current series of “Doctor Who” tonight.  Will the Doctor sacrifice the life of his companion Rose to save the world?  Whatever happens to Rose, Billie Piper bows out at the end.  She will be replaced by Freema Agyeman as Martha Jones in Series Three.

Last night I really wanted Richard to be evicted from the Big Brother House.  I despise the man, especially his comments about Welsh housemates Glyn and Imogen.

He described the part-time lifeguard and former Miss Wales as "boring".  Well on T.V Welsh people are protrayed as dull and boring, but not all of the population are like that!

Have a great evening!

A Change of Plan

I had a totally different entry planned for today but I didn’t go to the presentation ceremony this morning.  I was really looking forward to going but I didn’t have transport.  Mum didn’t see the point of having a posh presentation for a course that lasted for three hours.  I’m sure Nan would have accompanied me, except she had a bowls match.  I was a bit stuck so to spare an argument I said “Fine I won’t go.”

I have spent most of this afternoon typing out paperwork for mum’s child minding portfolio.  She is very nervous as she has her annual inspection in two weeks.  When mum told me this morning about the policies she needed I thought “Oh God, not more paperwork!” but I was happy to help.

It’s ridiculous how much the amount of paperwork has increased with the last year.  Things we consider common sense have to be written down and given to parents.  I bet they don’t read the portfolio from cover to cover so in my opinion some of the paperwork is a waste of time to type.

A few weeks ago I applied for a train pass.  I thought it would be handy as Margaret (care worker) doesn’t drive and I can go anywhere for free.  I have just sent off a bus pass application form too.

Have a good evening everyone!

Posh Presentation!

Today, mum had to go to Pontypridd to return some clothes she had bought.  I had nothing planned so I thought I go along and have a look around the shops.  I bought a blue and white Ben Sherman shirt, olive coloured cropped trousers and a black belt to wear on holidays.  It seems every time I go out shopping I always coincidently see someone from school.

I have been invited to a presentation ceremony tomorrow.  I took part in a cookery course last summer.  Tomorrow we are receiving our certificates for participation.  It seems a formal occasion, as we have to go to a posh hotel.  I am taking mum (or Nan) as my guest, who is very nervous!  I’m quite excited about the whole thing; it shall be quite an experience!

Former “Crossroads” actress Freema Agyeman will be replacing Billie Piper as Doctor Who’s new assistant.  She will play Martha Jones in the third series, which begins next year.  Billie will be killed off in the current series finale “Doomsday”.

Exterminate! ~ David Tennant with Freema Agyeman.

Writer Russell T. Davies describes the new partnership as “an immediate and sensational combination, and her range, presence and charm blew us all away.”  The actress said she was “nervous” about taking over from her predecessor as Billie had built up a huge fan base and hopes the viewers enjoy the new adventures of “Doctor Who”.

Have a good evening, readers!

Fourth of July

I would like to wish all our American friends of J-Land (and beyond) a Happy Independence Day.

FIREWORKS SPARKLING

Fireworks, sparkling in the silvery sky
Hot dogs roasting on the flaming fire
Families all together, communicating together
Smell of campfire all around
Watching the fireworks in the sky
Everyone around to say "Ooh and Ahh"
After the fireworks are done, families make s'mores together
The melting marshmallows, burning chocolate, and crispy graham crackers
All together making everyone happy
Fourth of July is a family celebrated holiday
Making everyone come together and celebrate the joyous event
That occurred over a hundred years ago
A great time with family and friends!!

The Next Sporting Hero

My next-door neighbour’s grandson is a footballer in the making.  I am really proud of his achievements but recently he has been annoying me and my family!

Every evening the budding Beckham plays football with his grandfather in their back garden.  Then he started kicking the football over our garden wall.  First of all we dismissed it, thinking it was an accident, but now it is getting on our nerves.

He has broken a few plants and ornaments in our garden in the last month.  They were partially cleared away by someone.  I suspect they didn’t want the child to get a row.  Last week he wasplaying football as usual when the ball came over and nearly destroyed fresh kidney beans and strawberries which were growing in nearby pots.  He was lucky the fresh produce wasn’t destroyed; otherwise there would have been hell to pay!  He was then warned by his grandmother not to kick the ball too high.

A few days ago the ball came over side again!  I think he did this purposely now to get a row.   He waited until he thought we couldn’t see, and then snuck over to retrieve the ball.  That was the last straw!  Mum warned him if it happened again, the ball would be confiscated, or even worse, punctured!  I think this warning has scared him a little, as it has not happened since.

He is a young boy and most boys like to play football and have fun.  But what would you do in our situation?

If you have not signed the Guestbook, on my side bar, please leave a message.  Thank you xx

Hope everyone is well in this scorching weather and keepiing hydrated by drinking plenty of water.    Weathermen say within the next few days temperatures will soar to 32C (90F) here in Wales and across Britain, I'm not looking forward to that!
