Bits and Bobs of This and That

I would like to wish “Congratulations” to my neighbour’s son, Neil and wife Lisa.  Lisa gave birth to a beautiful baby boy last night at 11:55p.m. They have decided to name him Tai Dylan who weighed a healthy 8lbs, 1oz.  Mother and baby are doing well.  Neil and Lisa also have another son Corey, who is excited at the thought of being an older brother!

Former ‘EastEnders’ star, Lucy Benjamin has won the celebrity version of ‘The X Factor’.  At the start of the contest, she appeared to be very nervous and wanted viewers to vote her out of the competition.  But Simon Cowell saved her from elimination and he didn’t regret his decision, as each night she became much more confident performing on stage.  I loved her performance of ‘See the Day’ by Girls Aloud, which all the judges praised at the Final on Monday.  Simon said it was “the best performance of the night”.

L-R: The first female to win 'X Factor' Lucy Benjamin, Girls Aloud had a hit with 'See the Day'.

Darrien and Hollie won the Final of ‘Strictly Dance Fever’ on Saturday night.  The couple, joined by Darren and Lana, reached the final two and the competition couldn’t have been fiercer.  Both couples, in my opinion, were brilliant and when it came to the crunch, even the judges found it hard to decide who should take home the trophy.  After the votes had been counted and verified, Darrien and Hollie were victorious!

As Champions Darrien and Hollie walk away with £50, 000, a contract to appear in a West End musical and of course, the ‘Strictly Dance Fever’ trophy, which was presented to them by last year’s winners Sadie and Joseph.  Both couples danced to an excellent standard all through the series and I'm sure the runners-up will get a signed up with a professional company because they were brilliant!

O.K. readers that’s all for now! I have a Biology exam tomorrow so wish me lots of luck.

Love
